Let the Library scare you in October…

Story Time Resumes Sept. 12

Story Time resumes Sept. 12 with the theme Lions, Tigers & Bears–Oh My!! Story Time is every Monday through November 21 (excluding Oct. 10 when the Library is closed for Columbus Day) at 11:30 a.m. We spend a half-hour reading books, poetry, singing, a craft, games and sometimes snacks. The program is designed for children ages one through pre-kindergarten but children of all ages are welcome. Home school students are welcome as well.

New Books added in June

The Library added several new books in June including Extreme Prey by John Sandford; War Hawk by James Rollins; The Highwayman by Craig Johnston; The Girl from Summer Hill by Jude Devereaux; The Emperor’s Revenge by Clive Cussler; End of Watch by Stephen King; Most Wanted by Lisa Scottoline; The Last Mile by David Baldacci; Blood Flag by Steve Martini; Hide Away by Iris Johansen; The Apartment by Danielle Steel and The Obsession by Nora Roberts. We also purchased young adult books The Last Star by Rick Yancey and The Hidden Oracle by Rick Riordan.

Books Sandwiched In continues through the Summer

Books Sandwiched In, the book club that meets at the Library the first Wednesday of each month from noon until 1 p.m., is continuing through the summer. Everyone is welcome to talk about whatever books they are reading and hear short reviews of the books others are reading. So bring a sandwich or lunch, water and coffee are provided, and enjoy talking about books.

End of Summer Party-Aug. 5

The End of Summer Party is scheduled for Friday, August 5 beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the Lincoln County Courthouse lawn. The Lincoln County Health Department and the Library are working together to hold Walk and Read. There will be reading, walking, snacks and a short program. At 10:30 a.m. everyone will walk to the Library to continue the program with more books, crafts and prizes.
