Story Time resumes with new day and time
Story Time will resume after Labor Day changing the day and time. Tuesday, September 5, Story Time will begin at 9:30 a.m. and will continue through Tuesday, November 21.
“For many years Story Time has been on Monday’s at 11:30 to accommodate first Kindergarten and then Pre-K children who were in either morning or afternoon classes,” said Assistant Librarian Sandy Helm. “Since Pre-K is all day starting this year we took the opportunity to make the changes so it will be easier for younger children to attend.”
The theme for the Sept. 5 program will be Grandparents. The craft activity is an opportunity for children to make a gift and a card for their Grandparents for Grandparents Day on Sunday, September 10.
Other programs scheduled throughout the fall will feature Cats, Apples, Autumn, No Bullying, Origami, Halloween, Honoring Veterans, Book Awards and Thanksgiving.
Activities for Story Time include, reading, crafts, songs, poetry, games and sometimes snacks.
All aged children are invited to come to Story Time from lap-sitters through pre-school aged children. Home-schooled children are also invited to attend Story Time.
